Privacy Policy

This policy describes how PDFImageTools handles information. It is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every eventuality, and it should be reviewed by a qualified professional before the site is operated commercially or in a jurisdiction with specific disclosure requirements.

Your files

Every tool currently on this site processes your files inside your own web browser. When you select a file, it is read directly from your device into the browser tab's memory, transformed there, and written back out as a download. It is not transmitted to us, and we do not operate a server that receives, stores or inspects user files.

A practical consequence: once a tool page has loaded, it keeps working without a network connection, and closing the tab discards everything.

The one exception: AI models

The Remove Background tool runs a neural network on your device. The model weights it needs are not bundled with the site, so the first time you use that tool your browser downloads them from a third-party content delivery network. That request reveals your IP address and the fact that a model was requested to the CDN operator, in the same way that loading any file from any website does.

Your image is not part of that request. It stays on your device throughout. The download happens only after you press the button that starts the tool, and the tool page says so before you do.

What we store on your device

We use one item of browser storage: a localStorage entry recording whether you chose the light or dark theme. It contains no identifier and is only read to avoid showing you the wrong theme.

The Passport Photo tool can hand a finished photo to the Print Sheet tool. To do that it places the image in sessionStorage, which the browser discards when you close the tab, and the entry is deleted as soon as the print-sheet tool claims it.

The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics, described below, sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart. Blocking them does not affect any tool — every tool works with cookies disabled.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which tools people actually use. It records product events — which tool was opened, how many files were selected, how long processing took, whether it succeeded, and whether the result was downloaded.

It never records file contents, file names, or the text you type into the search box. Your files are not uploaded to us or to Google; the measurement data is counts and durations only. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the analytics script is never loaded at all. Any tracker blocker will also stop it, and nothing on the site depends on it working.

Google processes this data as described in their own privacy policy .

The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building any profile of you. It cannot identify you or follow you to another site.

Server logs

The site is served as static files from a content delivery network. Like any web host, that provider processes standard request information such as your IP address and browser user agent in order to deliver the page and to protect against abuse. We do not add our own logging on top of this.

Children

The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us at the address below and we will investigate.

Changes

If the way the site handles data changes — particularly if any tool begins sending files to a server — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Tools that process files on a server will say so on their own page, before you use them.
