Frequently asked questions

How do I make sure the printed size is correct?

Print at 100% scale. In the browser print dialog set Scale to 100% — not "Fit to page" — and turn margins to None or Default rather than a custom value. Any scaling applied by the printer driver will change the physical size of every photo on the sheet.

What paper should I use?

4×6 inch photo paper is the cheapest option at most print shops and holds a good number of passport-sized photos. A4 fits more per sheet and is easier to find for home printers. Glossy photo paper gives a result closest to a professional photo booth.

Should I print or download the PDF?

Print directly if you are using your own printer. Download the PDF if you are taking it to a print shop — a PDF carries the exact page dimensions, so the shop does not have to guess at scaling.
