Split a PDF

Cut one PDF into several. Split at fixed intervals, or define exact page ranges and get a separate file for each.

Your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded.

What this tool does

  • Split by custom ranges or at a fixed interval
  • Preview every page before you commit
  • Download the parts individually

How to use split pdf

  1. Open your PDF

Drop in the file you want to split.

  2. Choose how to split

Either enter page ranges such as 1-4, 5-9, or split every N pages.

  3. Download the parts

Each range becomes its own PDF, ready to save.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Use commas to separate the parts and a hyphen for a span — for example `1-3, 4, 5-8` produces three files. A single number produces a one-page file.

Can I extract just one page?

Yes. Enter that page number on its own. If you want several specific pages gathered into a single new PDF rather than separate files, use Extract PDF Pages instead.

Does splitting change the pages themselves?

No. Each page is copied into the new document exactly as it was, so quality, text and links are preserved.
